The Mordros Stage 2 is our take on a performance orientated Twin with added length.
Longer Twinnies have increased in popularity in recent years however there are some big adjustments that occur if you’re stepping off a 6’0” shortboard and jumping on a 7’ Midlength. The Modros 2 is your gateway to cleaner surfing. An approachable board for someone coming from a high performance shortboard background and is wanting to venture into riding longer Twinnies.
We took the original Mordros template, narrowed it slightly and added a hip in the tail template to create a pivot point under the back foot, as well as an increase in overall rocker curve creating a much tighter turning radius than the original. This board carries so much speed and glide, similar to the Mordros, yet can be thrashed around, and felt like the harder we pushed it the better it went. We’ve tested it in short period mush and are stoked on its grovelling capabilities.
Through increasing the rail line makes you use your rail without a sacrifice to performance. The same paddle power, flow and speed, just not an overwhelming leap in size.
Order 3-4 inches longer and 1/2” - 3/4” inches wider than your standard shortboard for a very fun user-friendly board that will handle anything from 2ft to double overhead tubes.
